I confess, I again wrote soccer musings at other sites. Please, don’t cry too many tears. Instead, read my ramblings at these fine places.
First, everybody made a fuss about Klinsmann not picking Jozy Altidore. Why? Well, superficially, Jozy has played well for his Dutch club and we want to see him succeed for the US. However, on a deeper level, US fans and Klinsi have some stuff to sort out. (Guardian)
Second, Non-League Day. Not everybody in England loves the English Premier League. Luckily, a less commercial endeavor has filled the void in our hearts. Every international break in October, fans flock to local grounds to see lower-trier pro sides play. (200%)
